Bayer Leverkusen wonderkid Kai Havertz has posted on Twitter amid reported interest from Arsenal in recent weeks – and Gunners supported have reacted to the Tweet, with many urging him to swap the Bundesliga side for north London.
Bild reporter Christian Falk has claimed that Arsenal are interested in signing 20-year-old, and that the Gunners need a player like the Bayer attacker. Indeed, he claims that The Gunners could be willing to pay the £88million asking price.
Despite his age, Havertz has been in top form once again for Peter Bosz’s side. He has scored 10 goals in his 34 appearances, as well as creating eight assists. Already a Germany international, he has had a hand in 68 goals during 139 games.
Little surprise, then, that plenty of English clubs have been linked with the German star over the past few months. Liverpool have been strongly rumoured as one of the clubs looking at Havertz, as have Arsenal. Gunners fans reacted to his Tweet.
Arsenal are likely to be in the window this summer to bring new attackers to the club. Mesut Ozil’s future remains in doubt, while Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette are being linked with some of Europe’s biggest clubs.
Gunners fans reacted to Havertz’s latest Tweet, which the German attacker captioned “steps”. Many responded by urging him to move to north London in the coming months.
