Arsenal fans react as Arsene Wenger responds to Freddie Ljungberg

Arsenal legend Arsene Wenger has insisted he is available to pass on any advice to Gunners interim manager Freddie Ljungberg.

The former Invincible, in temporary charge after the club sacked Unai Emery last week, said in his press conference that seeking out the Frenchman is on his to-do list.

FIFA’s new head of global football development said (BBC Sport): “If he has that need, then of course I will be available.

“Freddie is fantastic and committed and will want to do this job for a long time.

“He has an opportunity and what you want in life is that opportunity. Let’s get him to work with his ideas and support him.”

He then added that the club was still in his heart and that he wants them to do well.

Ljungberg kickstarted his stint as first-team manager with a 2-2 draw against Norwich City at the weekend, and next up it’s Brighton for the north Londoners on Wednesday.

The club are currently on a run of eight games without a win, which is a major concern and something that never happened under Wenger.
