Arsenal fans are in a joyous mood after reports from France that former manager and club legend Arsene Wenger could join Daniel Ek’s bid takeover the north London side.
According to L’Equipe, Wenger could play a part in the consortium, which currently involves Thierry Henry, Dennis Bergkamp and Patrick Vieira, that are set to lodge a bid to Stan Kroenke in an attempt for the American businessman to sell the club, with the Telegraph reporting that the offer could be valued at £1.8bn.

Kroenke is under immense pressure to sell the club following the collapse of the European Super League, with Spotify owner and Arsenal fan Daniel Ek the main financial muscle behind this current attempt to take over the club, and Wenger’s involvement with the bid was met with praise by supporters on social media.
