Arsenal fans react as Alexandre Lacazette offered to Champions League side
AC Milan have been reportedly offered the chance to sign Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette – and Gunners fans have reacted on Twitter.
Lacazette, 30, is out of contract at Arsenal next summer – having spent the last four years in North London. He has played 173 times for the Gunners.
In that time, he has scored 67 goals and created 29 more. But this season, he has managed just one Premier League appearances – a sub against Man City.
He has scored twice in the Carabao Cup, but Lacazette is falling down the pecking order. He has been an unused sub in the last three league games.
CalcioMercato claim that Milan have been offered the chance to sign Lacazette on a free. Milan can secure a pre-contract from January 1.
They claim that Lacazette has been offered in the ‘last few weeks’ – but that Milan are struggling to meet the Frenchman’s wage demands.
Arsenal currently pay Lacazette a whopping £150,000 a week. But Milan are only willing to go as high as £80,000. A compromise is needed.
What are Arsenal fans saying as Lacazette offered to Milan?
Arsenal do not need Lacazette, especially given his wages. Mikel Arteta is building for the future, bringing in a whole host of young players.
The Gunners have made numerous errors when it comes to handing older players new deals – Willian, for example. Lacazette must be allowed to go.
Arsenal fans have reacted on Twitter to reports that Lacazette could end up at Milan – and many say it would be a good move. Others want him to stay.
