Arsenal look set to sanction the sale of Ainsley Maitland-Niles this week with Wolves nearing a £20 million capture, according to The Guardian.
The youngster has graduated through the academy ranks at the Emirates Stadium but has struggled to hold down a regular place in the team.
Offloading Maitland-Niles could allow Mikel Arteta even more room for manoeuvre in the transfer market. Time will tell, however, whether this deal turns out to be a positive one for the Gunners.

The 22-year-old has fallen down the pecking order and with Cedric Soares arriving permanently, his chances of football won’t have increased next season.
Maitland-Niles did feature in 33 games for the Gunners last season and although he was versatile he failed to earn a regular starting berth under Arteta.
Cashing in could come back to haunt Arsenal and looking on Twitter it’s fair to say some Gunners aren’t overly happy with the deal to sell the £35,000-a-week flyer.
At 22 there is lots of potential in Maitland-Niles and Wolves are getting themselves a young, hungry British talent.
Following the news that the utility man is edging close to the exit at the Emirates Stadium, we looked at what supporters were saying on Twitter about the departure.
