Arsenal fans may not have had a lot to smile about following their clash with Crystal Palace on Sunday, but plenty of supporters were raving about Kieran Tierney on social media after the 2-2 draw.

Tierney went into the weekend still awaiting the chance to make his Premier League debut. He had whetted the appetite however, with some outstanding displays in the Europa League and Carabao Cup.

Tierney got 75 minutes under his belt. And a number of supporters suggested on Twitter after the game that he was one of the shining lights to emerge from another difficult day.

Some have suggested that Tierney has the potential to be the best left-back in the world. And it appears that Arsenal fans will passionately back their player over Liverpool’s Andrew Robertson when debating Scotland’s best in that position.

It appears to be a matter of time before Tierney is first-choice in that position. His fitness is building up and he is one player the fans have taken to already.

Here is how some of the supporters have reacted to Tierney’s display…
