Arsenal started the new Premier League season with a 3-0 victory at Craven Cottage – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter were left raving about the performance from new signing Willian.

Mikel Arteta’s side strolled to three points by beating newly-promoted Fulham on their ground and picked up from where they left off last season.

Willian, who joined as a free agent after leaving Chelsea, was at the heart of the success for Arsenal and left a big impression on fans.

The 32-year-old winger saw his close-range shot saved inside the opening 10 minutes, but teammate Alexandre Lacazette was on hand to finish inside the box.

Willian’s corner early in the second-half was the first of two assists, as another new signing Gabriel bundled it in from inside the six-yard box.

He then hit a lovely switch of play towards captain Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who curled the ball into the top right corner effortlessly.

A selection of Arsenal supporters on social media were amazing by Willian’s performance before he was substituted off in the 76th minute.

The Brazilian speedster picked out so many pockets of space to help dictate the attacking play and looks like he could be a shrewd piece of business for his new club.
