Arsenal fans rave about their 19-year-old after training clip

Arsenal uploaded a brief training ground clip of Gabriel Martinelli yesterday – and some of the club’s fans on Twitter were amazed by their youngster’s quality.

The Gunners posted on their official Twitter account a video of him in training firing in a shot to the top corner.

A selection of Arsenal supporters on social media responded by claiming it’s a sign that the Brazilian attacker needs to play more, with one suggesting he knew manager Mikel Arteta was watching him.

Martinelli, who earns £90,000-a-week (Spotrac), has struggled for regular minutes since his return from a knee problem in the December.

The 19-year-old impressed in the senior team last season, but is having to be patient right now.

He’s a versatile forward that has shown he can be a real attacking threat as either a left-winger or central striker.

If Arsenal take a glance at most comments on their Twitter content, they’ll see cries from fans asking for Martinelli to start more.

The South American teenager undoubtedly has major talent, but Arteta has been reluctant in the past couple of months to throw him into the XI.

However, he did feature off the bench in the two fixtures prior to the international break, and perhaps that’s an indication that more chances are around the corner for him.
