Arsenal fans rave about Gabriel Martinelli after Player of the Month award

Arsenal announced yesterday that Gabriel Martinelli has clinched the club’s Player of the Month award for January.

The Brazilian produced some fine form under the stewardship of Mikel Arteta and came of age in an Arsenal shirt.

Martinelli scored three times in January, twice in the Premier League and at Bournemouth in the FA Cup.

He also played 90 minutes in three top-flight games during the month, helping Arsenal to three successive draws.

At 18, the world really is at the feet of Martinelli.

He checked-in at the Emirates Stadium from Ituano who are based in Sao Paulo, costing the Gunners £6 million.

Arsenal fans are certainly enjoying watching the teenager in action and feel there is more to come.

Despite his tender years, Martinelli has shown the maturity to operate in more than one position.

He has played out wide and as a winger this season, although his best performances have come from a left-wing position.

Following news of this latest accolade, supporters have moved to congratulate the youngster.
