A number of Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to comment on the Champions League last-16 first leg performance of a player said to be on the Gunners’ radar.
According to a report in The Telegraph from the end of last month, Arsenal were in talks with Paris Saint-Germain for left-back Layvin Kurzawa.
PSG reportedly wanted at least £4.2million for the 27-year-old, who is out of contract at Parc des Princes at the end of the campaign, but in the end, he remained at the French capital club.
The Sun recently suggested that Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta is set to reignite the club’s interest in Kurzawa this summer, with Juventus also said to have thrown their hat in the mix.
However, Kurzawa found himself on the losing side on Tuesday night as Erling Braut Haaland’s brace helped Borussia Dortmund to a 2-1 win over PSG.
The France international had a difficult shift up against Jadon Sancho, while one passage of play saw him go on a superb run before misplacing his final ball.
Here is what was said about Kurzawa by some of the Gunners faithful on social media:
Kurzawa isn’t a bad player, but I’m glad we didn’t sign him.
