Arsenal fans praise on-loan star Daniel Ballard following League One playoff qualification

Arsenal supporters have taken to social media to praise on-loan defender Daniel Ballard after the Northern Ireland international secured a playoff spot with Blackpool on Tuesday night.

The 21-year-old centre-back has been one of the Tangerines key players this season, with the Hale End academy graduate making 25 appearances so far for the League One side, keeping a clean sheet in over 50% of the games he has started for Neil Critchley’s side, who have now secured a chance at promotion to the Championship.

Ballard is one of many centre-backs out on loan from Arsenal this season, with William Saliba and Konstantinos Mavropanos also impressing at OGC Nice and VfB Stuttgart respectively, and supporters on social media were quick to shower the 21-year-old Stevenage-born defender with praise after clinching a playoff spot in League One.
