Arsenal fans praise Hector Bellerin for his Spain performance

Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin was in action on Wednesday night on the international stage – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter were impressed with his display.

The right-back earned a recall to the Spain squad for the first time since 2016 and he completed 90 minutes during an international friendly against Netherland.

Spain recorded a 1-1 draw and took the lead through Sergio Canales in the 18th minute, but Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek scored an equaliser for the Dutch early in the second-half.

Bellerin earned his fourth senior Spain cap during the match and was a late call-up to the squad after an injury to Jesus Navas.

The 25-year-old has started every single game in the Premier League so far this season and he’s been an attacking threat from right-back, setting up four assists in 11 games across all competitions.

He was denied an assist against the Netherlands when Alvaro Morata was unable to finish a chance set up for him superbly well after a darting run forward.

A selection of Arsenal supporters on social media were praising Bellerin for his Spain performance, something which should give him big confidence when he returns to club football at the Emirates Stadium.
