Arsenal fans have taken to social media to praise midfielder Mohamed Elneny after the 28-year-old bagged his first Premier League goal for the club.
The Egyptian international opened the scoring for the Gunners in their 2-0 win against Newcastle United, with Elneny firing from distance in the opening ten minutes to make it 1-0 to Arsenal against Steve Bruce’s side, marking the north London club’s earliest goal of the Premier League season so far.

Elneny has managed goals in both the UEFA Champions League against Barcelona in his Arsenal career as well as in this season’s UEFA Europa League, and supporters on social media were buzzing to see the midfielder open his account in the Premier League six years after joining the Gunners from FC Basel.
