Arsenal came from behind to seal a 2-2 draw away from home against Standard Liege in the final game of their Europa League group stage campaign.

The Gunners simply needed to avoid a 5-0 defeat to ensure progression but Samuel Bastien and Selim Amallah set the hosts on the way to beating them in the second half.

But two goals in three minutes from Alexandre Lacazette and Bukayo Saka sealed a draw, meaning that Arsenal topped the ground and will be seeded in Monday’s draw.

Saka started the match at left wing back, the position in which he came through the ranks, and was still able to contribute an assist and a goal.

It was the latest example of Saka’s burgeoning talent and he will likely be enthused by the presence of Freddie Ljungberg in the dugout, given his involvement in promoting the club’s young talent.

Ljungberg avoided a defeat with a second comeback within a matter of days and Saka earned a great deal of praise on Twitter after the match for his role in the draw.
