England managed to record a 3-0 victory on Thursday night against Republic of Ireland – and some Arsenal fans on Twitter were left throughly impressed by the performance of their player Bukayo Saka in the game.
The 19-year-old left-footer played in England’s win at Wembley in an international friendly and got 90 minutes under his belt for the Three Lions.
England boss Gareth Southgate deployed him in a left wing-back position and that saw him provide a strong attacking threat, including winning a penalty that was dispatched by in-form Everton man Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
Saka has already played 53 first-team games for Arsenal and now has two senior international caps for England despite only turning 19 in September.
He’s a speed machine that looks comfortable when used as a left-winger up the pitch to provide a goalscoring threat, but it seems like his international career may be vying for a wing-back role and it’s a system that club manager Mikel Arteta also tends to use him in.

A selection of Arsenal supporters on social media were left waxing lyrical on Thursday night about Saka, who was named man of the match for his Three Lions contribution.
It won’t be a surprise to see him benched for the imminent Nations League fixtures during the next week, but looks the frontrunner to be understudy to Chelsea’s Ben Chilwell.
