Arsenal fans praise Aubameyang after West Brom win

Some Arsenal fans were praising Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang for his performance in the win over West Bromwich Albion.

What’s the story?

The Gunners hammered Valerien Ismael’s side 6-0 to progress to the third round of the Carabao Cup.

Aubameyang was on-hand to score a hattrick, his first goals for the club in six matches, stretching either side of the off-season.

His first two strikes came via tap-ins after Bukayo Saka had a shot pushed out and Nicolas Pepe hit the post.

However, the third goal was reminiscent of the star striker’s previous form. Aubameyang cut in on his right foot before curling a beauty beyond a hapless Alex Palmer.

West Brom goals a necessary confidence boost

There is no sugar coating it, Arsenal have endured a nightmare start to the Premier League season.

Last night’s game was already proving a crucial match in the Gunners’ campaign, and it was only the third one.

However, Arsenal and their captain passed with flying colours. Despite some nervy moments in defence, they thrashed the Midlanders.

The West Brom win will be a massive confidence boost for both Arsenal and Aubameyang.

With Manchester City up next this Sunday, it will be a tough game, made easier with their star player in good form.
