'What a player': Arsenal fans left gutted as former player impresses in Euros fixture
Arsenal fans have been having horrible flashbacks as Germany star Serge Gnabry once again put in a fine performance for his country this weekend.
Gnabry never quite made the grade with the Gunners. But since then, he’s gone on to have huge success, and is now a key player for both Germany and Bayern Munich.
The Germans ran out 4-2 winners against Portugal. Gnabry didn’t manage to get himself on the scoresheet, but he was impressive.
The 25-year-old scored ten goals for Bayern last season, adding a further seven assists along the way. His performances along the way were superb, and it’s just further evidence that the Gunners made a big mistake.
Arsenal fans, then, were quick to point this out on Twitter following the game.
Arsenal fans gutted about Gnabry
Of course, hindsight is a wonderful thing. The fact is, that while with Arsenal and then West Brom, Gnabry didn’t impress.
But since then, he deserves enormous credit for the way he’s turned his career around. His performances for Germany – including yesterday – always seem to be of the highest standard.
And once again, Arsenal fans were out in force on Twitter discussing their club’s decision to not keep Gnabry.
Here, then, is a look at what was being said on social media about the the German superstar.
I wish Gnabry was still at Arsenal.
