Arsenal fans love what Mikel Arteta has done during training session
Arsenal fans have taken time out from enjoying the team’s win in the Carabao Cup last night to rave about some training footage of Mikel Arteta!
The Gunners boss has been spotted enjoying some ball work in the build-up to last night’s game.
The former Arsenal midfielder showed some neat touches during training and some fans have been lauding him on Twitter.
The Gunners defeated AFC Wimbledon 3-0 at the Emirates Stadium last night. Goals from Alexandre Lacazette, Emile Smith Rowe and Eddie Nketiah ensured a safe passage into round four.
It proved a good night for Arsenal. The Gunners warmed up in perfect fashion for a massive game against Tottenham at the weekend.
It was a third straight win for Arteta who has also seen his team keep three successive clean sheets.
It’s his ball control that has caught the eye though during a recent Twitter post.
Arteta was snapped getting stuck into training and it would appear he’s still got an eye for a pass.
The former midfielder signed for Arsenal from Everton in 2011. He went on to make 150 appearances for the club, scoring 16 goals in the process.
He retired from playing in 2016 and has been working as a coach pretty much ever since.
What have Arsenal fans said about Arteta in training?
Quite simply, they’ve been blown away. They can’t quite believe just how good the manager still looks with a ball at his feet.
Midfielders with an array of passing, however, are unlikely to lose such an ability and Arteta is no different.
Fans have taken straight to Twitter with some even jokingly suggesting that he might do a better job than some of the current crop!
Here is what they had to say regarding the Arsenal gaffer taking part in training.
