Arsenal fans love something £25m star kept doing vs West Ham on Wednesday

Arsenal produced a sturdy performance to beat London rivals West Ham on Wednesday evening at The Emirates, winning 2-0. Arsenal fans have applauded Kieran Tierney’s display – notably, his crossing.

Mikel Arteta’s side came into the match, once again under scrutiny having lost three of their last five league games. Not only that, but Arteta chose to strip Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang of the captaincy on Tuesday.

Having started the first eight Premier League games of the season, Arsenal left-back Tierney suffered an ankle injury. It saw Nuno Tavares come into the side, and upon Tierney’s return, he was an unused sub for four games.

But the Scotland international has since started the last three Premier League matches – getting an assist against Southampton and Everton. On Wednesday night, the £25million signing’s brilliant crossing earned praise from fans.

A contender for the captain’s armband, given Granit Xhaka has already had it removed – and the majority of other options are new signings, he showed fans his best form. A brilliant win for the Gunners.

What are Arsenal fans saying about Tierney, after West Ham win?

A perfect night for Arteta, who was under pressure again. Alexandre Lacazette, a man he has praised and brought back in from the cold, slid a lovely pass into Gabriel Martinelli – the man to replace Aubameyang, and he scored.

Of course, Lacazette should have made it two after Vladimir Coufal conceded a penalty – which saw him earn a second yellow. It was 2-0 late on, as Emile Smith-Rowe got in on the act after coming off the bench.

Said Benrahma lost the ball and Bukayo Saka took full advantage, finding Smith-Rowe who cut inside to score. Arsenal were just as solid as they were clinical, and Tierney was arguably the pick of the bunch, with many praising his crossing.
