A number of Arsenal fans have lauded Daniel Ballard and discussed his next move after he helped Blackpool to play-off final glory on Sunday.

The Tangerines have secured their spot in the Championship next season. Neil Critchley’s men beat Lincoln City at Wembley to book their ticket to the second tier.

And it seems that plenty of Arsenal fans are hoping that Ballard joins the Seasiders in the Championship next year.

The 21-year-old was a colossus out on loan for much of this season. And he shone in the capital this weekend.

As shown by Whoscored, the youngster made six clearances – more than any other player on the pitch.

He was a calming influence at the back for Blackpool. And his performance prompted plenty of Arsenal fans to laud him on social media.

Of course, it appears that Ballard has got an incredibly tough task on his hands as he looks to make the grade at the Emirates.

Mikel Arteta is not struggling for centre-back options. And it would be little surprise if the Gunners looked to strengthen further this summer.

Nevertheless, some believe that Ballard cannot be written off yet. In fact, many want to see what he can do in the Championship next season.
