Arsenal fans laud Ben White on Twitter after North London Derby

A number of Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to laud Ben White after the centre-back produced a superb performance in Sunday’s North London Derby with Spurs.

White made his first start for the Gunners following his arrival from Brighton.

Unfortunately, it proved to be a disappointing afternoon for Mikel Arteta’s men. They were beaten 1-0 by Tottenham. And several of their players were poor.

But White was one of those who really impressed for the Gunners. He looked composed in possession and he read the game extremely well.

Of course, the centre-back is under a fair amount of pressure. Arsenal fans, understandably, expect a lot given the fee the club parted with.

And it did appear that Arteta had much bigger priorities than signing a new centre-back. So it was a big statement to bring him in.

But he was outstanding last season. And he ended the campaign by forcing his way into the England squad for Euro 2020.

It seems that he is ready to pick up where he left off. And plenty of Arsenal fans are optimistic that he is going to prove to be a brilliant signing.
