Arsenal fans impressed by one Tottenham player during Sunday’s North London derby

Arsenal produced an excellent performance to beat Tottenham Hotspur 2-1 on Sunday in the North London derby at The Emirates – but Gunners fans took to Twitter to praise the performance of Brazilian attacker Lucas Moura.

The Gunners came from behind to win after Son Heung-min was substituted early on with what seemed to be a hamstring issue. His substitute, Erik Lamela, scored a beautiful rabona – nutmegging Thomas Partey on its way in.

However, Mikel Arteta’s side came from behind to win the match. Firstly, the ever-impressive Kieran Tierney got to the byline on the left before picking out Martin Odegaard – who saw a shot deflect into the net off Toby Alderweireld.

It was 2-1 come the end of the match, with Spurs finishing the game with 10 men thanks to Erik Lamela’s second yellow card. Davinson Sanchez conceded a penalty, fouling Alexandre Lacazette – and Lacazette scored.

Lucas, 28, initially started in the 10 role but moved out wide when Lamela came off the bench to replace Son. He laid on the assist for Lamela – taking his goal involvements to 15 in his 41 league and cup appearances for Spurs this term.

His performance did not go unnoticed. Arsenal supporters raved about the £23million (BBC) Spurs signing – with one fan even suggesting that the Gunners should look to sign him, despite the North London rivalry.
