Eddie Nketiah has once again impressed for England Under-21s with his latest international performance – and some Arsenal fans reacted on Twitter to hail their academy graduate.

The centre-forward scored once in a 2-1 victory for the Young Lions against Austria Under-21s on Tuesday night, as he nicked possession off a defender with his pressing and produced a composed chipped finish over the goalkeeper.

He’s netted four goals in the two matches over the international break for Aidy Boothroyd’s Under-21s side and will return to Arsenal in fine form.

Nketiah has seven goals in 37 first-team games for Arsenal in his senior career with them so far and started to get some regular game-time in the second half of last season.

The 21-year-old has started to earn the trust of Gunners manager Mikel Arteta and started in attack recently for the Community Shield victory over Liverpool.

It’s unclear on if the Englishman will be a nailed-on starter during the new campaign, but he’s developed so quickly considering he was struggling to start for Leeds United last season during his loan with them in the first half of the campaign.
