Arsenal fans have taken to social media to react to West Brom manager Sam Allardyce’s recent comments on 23-year-old midfielder Ainsley Maitland-Niles, who is on loan at the Baggies.
Speaking ahead of tonight’s match against Leicester City via The Mirror, the Premier League manager revealed how he was able to sign the Arsenal academy graduate on loan, with Allardyce admitting that he was able to sway the England international by promising to play him in his preferred central-midfield position.

Maitland-Niles has come out in the past about his desire to play in the middle of midfield, a position he has hardly played during his time at Arsenal, with the youngster ofter being utilised as a fullback or wing-back under both Mikel Arteta and Unai Emery.
And Arsenal fans were frustrated to hear about Maitland-Niles’ stubbornness to play in central midfield, with some supporters believing that the youngster is risking his own career by not taking advantage of his own versatility.
Here’s what some Arsenal fans had to say on Twitter about Allardyce’s comments on Maitland-Niles…
