Arsenal under-23s slipped to a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Chelsea last night with all three goals coming in the first 45 minutes of action.
Steve Bould’s team took the lead on 16 minutes when Folarin Balogun opened the scoring with another goal for the under-23s.
The Gunners saw their lead evaporate, however, when Armando Broja equalised.

They went into the break behind when midfield maestro Billy Gilmour fired the Blues in front right on the stroke of half-time.
Bould will have been disappointed to lose ground on the top teams and the Gunners are now ten points away from leaders Chelsea in the league table.
In Balogun, however, Arsenal do look to have a player who will eventually be capable of stepping up the first-team.
The 18-year-old has now scored eight goals this season to go alongside the four assists he has created.
With Eddie Nketiah earning a Premier League start under Mikel Arteta on Sunday, youngsters will feel the first-team pathway is clear.

Balogun is an instinctive finisher and if he keeps working hard under Bould he will surely earn a chance to shine.
