Arsenal were thrashed 3-0 by Manchester City at the Emirates Stadium yesterday. A Kevin De Bruyne brace and a goal from Raheem Sterling ensured a comfortable win for the reigning champions.
Pep Guardiola’s side were three goals to the good at the interval and in truth, the game proved men against boys.
It leaves Arsenal with more questions than answers. Boss Freddie Ljungberg has now won just one of his five games in interim charge of the team.

Mesut Ozil became the latest player to be frowned upon for showing emotion by the Arsenal supporters.
Following his substitution in the 59th minute, the German rolled up his gloves and kicked them in frustration.
It hadn’t been a great game for the man who cost £42.4 million in 2013 (BBC Sport).
He wasn’t the only poor performer but it seems that some Arsenal fans are now losing patience with Ozil.
It remains to be seen whether Arsenal will ramp up their efforts to appoint a proven manager after this latest debacle.

The Gunners are down in ninth place and are seven points adrift of Chelsea in fourth.
It was Ozil who grabbed the Arsenal headlines, for all the wrong reasons, however. We looked at what the Gunners faithful were saying about his performance after the game:
