‘Thank the heavens’: Arsenal fans react to reports Rob Holding could leave

Arsenal fans have been having their say on social media today, after reports suggested Rob Holding could well be sold on this summer.

The Times makes the claim. They suggest that the incoming of Ben White could prompt Mikel Arteta to cash-in on Holding, should a suitable offer come their way.

Moving Holding on would seem a tad harsh on the former Charlton man. He played a big role last season, emerging as a prominent figure at the club and eventually landing a new contract.

But White’s potential signing, in addition the Gunners having Gabriel, Mari, and young William Saliba on the books, could see Holding go.

Despite Holding playing a key role last season, it seems some Gunners fans – surprisingly – wouldn’t mind seeing hime moved on.

Of course, it would take a big bid for Arsenal to do a deal. Further, Chris Wheatley of Football London also tweeted after the Times’ report to suggest Holding remains a part of the plans.

But that didn’t stop the initial replies to the Holding news, and it seems some fans wouldn’t mind seeing Holding sold and others come in.
