Arsenal have reportedly opened talks to sign Internacional wonderkid Yuri Alberto in the January transfer window, and could get him for just £12.75million – prompting plenty of reaction from Arsenal fans.
Alberto, 20, has caught the attention of those at Arsenal – after scoring 19 goals during the 2021 campaign. Having played an enormous 54 games in all competitions, his side’s last game of the season comes on Friday.
The two-time Brazil Under-23 star has been mostly used as a striker, but Alberto can also play out wide or even as a second striker. In his 54 games, he has scored 19 goals and laid on four assists.
That is, despite 13 of those 54 coming from the bench – while also being substituted in 21 others. He only complete 90 minutes on 20 occasions, and his form has attracted Arsenal and Shakhtar Donetsk.

Goal Brasil report that Arsenal have opened talks to sign the Brazilian attacker. They have asked Internacional about a move for the forward, and have been informed he has a release clause worth £12.75million.
What are Arsenal fans saying about reports regarding Alberto?
The player has a contract until 2025, but is keen on a move and Internacional will be unable to stop such a deal – due to his release clause. Given Brazil’s season ends this week, a move makes sense.
Arsenal have obviously dipped into the Brazilian market recently under sporting director Edu – bringing in Gabriel Martinelli and Pablo Mari. Now, a third name could be added to that list and fans are excited.
