A number of Arsenal fans have taken to comment on James Maddison after the Leicester star’s display in the Community Shield at Wembley on Saturday.

Brendan Rodgers’s men beat Manchester City 1-0 thanks to a late Kelechi Iheanacho penalty against his old side.

Maddison came off with around 20 minutes to go. Obviously, there were no goals during his time on the pitch.

But he still managed to make a major impression. The 24-year-old made more key passes than any other player on the pitch while he was involved (via Whoscored).

He actually also won the two tackles he went in for. Contributing in that aspect of the game is particularly important given the opposition the Foxes were up against.

Of course, the display did not escape the attention of the Arsenal supporters on social media.

As noted by the Daily Mirror, the Gunners want Maddison this summer. However, he is, unsurprisingly, not going to come cheap.
