Arsenal fans demand Gabriel Martinelli is recalled against Sheffield United

Arsenal host Sheffield United on Saturday afternoon in the Premier League – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter have demanded that attacker Gabriel Martinelli is recalled to the side.

Mikel Arteta’s team currently sit 10th in the league table and they welcome sixth-placed Sheffield United to the Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners are four points adrift of their upcoming opponents and are 11 points away from the Champions League positions.

Arsenal are without goal machine Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang for the next three games following his recent red card against Crystal Palace and will need to try find a way to manage in the final third without their star man.

A selection of Arsenal supporters on social media believe that Martinelli should returned to the XI at the weekend.

The Brazilian attacker has been used as a substitute in the club’s previous two fixtures, after only just returning from a hamstring problem.

But the 18-year-old has made quite the impact during his first season at the Emirates Stadium and is tipped to have a big future.

The forward has eight goals in just 19 appearances across all competition this campaign and has the versatility to play in a central or wide attacking role.
