Arsenal fans have been expressing their delight on social media, following a report the club are looking to bring back Santi Cazorla so that he can have his final farewell.

football.london have claimed the Gunners are exploring the possibility of bringing the Spaniard back to the Emirates in some capacity, after he departed in 2018.

Cazorla endured a nightmare time with injury towards the end of his Arsenal career.

The maestro struggled badly with an Achilles injury, and was deprived of football for 668 days (BBC Sport).

So bad was the issue that it didn’t just threaten his football career, but also his ability to walk.

In total Cazorla required 11 operations over two years, but the star appears to have put his nightmare behind him.

The 35-year-old has been with Villarreal since leaving the Emirates in 2018, and his brilliant form has seen him make an amazing return to the Spain squad.
