Arsenal had to settle for a goalless draw away to Everton on Saturday afternoon – and some of the club’s supporters on Twitter voiced their frustration about the performance of forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

With new manager Mikel Arteta watching on from the stands, the Gunners earned a point at Goodison Park after a fairly quiet 90 minutes.

The North London club now sit 11th in the Premier League table and are six points adrift of the top four as it stands.

Arsenal did have the positive of a clean sheet in the 0-0 draw, but there forward line struggled to create goalscoring opportunities.

Aubameyang, 30, arguably had the pick of the chances with his shot at the back post, but it was a difficult effort on half volley and it was tipped over by goalkeeper Jordan Pickford.

The Gunners striker does have 13 goals across all competitions this campaign, but had a quieter game in the final third and was substituted off for teammate Alexandre Lacazette.

He’s a clinical forward that usually pops up with a key moments, but his overall work-rate has come under question from some supporters.
