Arsenal fans criticise Aubameyang and Lacazette after another away defeat

One of the themes of Unai Emery’s first season in charge of Arsenal has been his inability or unwillingness to get both Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette on the pitch at the same time.

But he did manage it yesterday against Leicester in a game Arsenal had to win in order to keep their hopes of qualifying for next season’s Champions League alive, lining up in a 4-4-2 formation.

While his plans were torn up somewhat by Ainsley Maitland-Niles’ first half red card, the duo did very little to turn the tide of a game that ended up 3-0 to the hosts.

In the aftermath of the match, some fans took to Twitter to blast the strike duo, both of whom were signed for big money under Arsene Wenger.

The pair aren’t often criticised because Arsenal’s problems are perceived to lie elsewhere, but they got the treatment from the fans on Twitter in the aftermath of yesterday’s game.

We’ve put together the best of the reaction on an afternoon when Arsenal’s top four hopes looked to disappear…
