Arsenal fans call for Luka Jovic signing to bolster forward options

Arsenal fans want to sign Luka Jovic.

The 23-year-old Real Madrid striker would make for a good option at The Emirates.

The current senior strikers at the club are Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette.

However, the Gunners have scored just two league goals this season.

Adding to that, Lacazette is out of a contract in summer 2022.

Mikel Arteta needs to recruit someone to bolster his forward options and rumours are circulating that Jovic could sign.

The rumours come from EuroSport and claim that Arsenal and West Ham are set to battle for the Serbian.

The fans seem to want to sign the 23-year-old too.

Jovic has got an impressive goalscoring record, even if things have gone downhill since his move to Real Madrid.

During his time at Eintracht Frankfurt, however, Jovic scored 40 and assisted 10 in 93 games for the Bundesliga club (Transfermarkt).

There is clearly talent and the ability to score goals somewhere in the player, he just needs to find it.

At Real Madrid he’s been sapped of his confidence and looks a shell of his former self.

It doesn’t help that the incredible Karim Benzema is basking in goals aheas of him.

However, at Arsenal there could be a fresh start for the forward.

He’s still a young player and still has plenty of years to turn his career around, which could happen at The Emirates.

In Martin Odegaard Arsenal already have a player who struggled at Real Madrid who’s now flourishing.

Jovic could make it two, and the Gunners would be able to get him at a good price.

Real Madrid not only shelled out £52m on the player, but they also agreed to pay him £8.7m-per-year (Sky Sports).

Los Blancos will want him out and with Arsenal fans keen to take him, this could be a move that works out for every party.

What do the fans think?
