Arsenal under-23s went goal crazy in injury-time on Saturday as they drew 3-3 with Leicester City.

Folarin Balogun scored a 97th-minute equaliser after the Gunners trailed 3-0 to the Foxes going into the last minute.

It was a remarkable turn of events and one that will have left Kevin Betsy scratching his head afterwards.

Terel Pennant, Tawanda Maswanhise and Ben Nelson had fired Leicester into the lead.

Goals from Tim Akinola, Omari Hutchinson and Balogun, however, left the Foxes truly stunned.

It was the goal by Balogun that caught the eye of the Arsenal fan base.

They are keen to see the youngster earn a chance on the first-team stage but so far Mikel Arteta has kept him with the under-23s.

The 20-year-old does have time on his side and perhaps his current form is giving the boss some food for thought.

Balogun has now found the net on 11 occasions for the Gunners under-23 team and has also helped himself to two assists.

The youngster is showcasing his versatility, operating in a number of forward positions in Betsy’s team.

A big challenge for Balogun is to continue scoring goals and hopefully impressing Arteta.

For a long time, it seemed as though Arsenal would lose their youngster. He was out of contract last summer and had seemingly held talks with a number of overseas suitors.

Arsenal moved quickly though and managed to persuade him into extending his time at the Emirates Stadium.

Now, it seems as though some Gunners fans think he should be featuring around the first-team squad a little more often.
