Arsenal fans are now even more excited about the prospect of Viktor Gyokeres joining the Gunners after reading a fresh report about him.
Arsenal are closing in on the signing of Gyokeres from Sporting CP, with whom they have agreed a fee of around £64million.
Indeed, Arsenal are expected to complete a move for Gyokeres by the weekend, bringing an end to the Gunners’ search for a new No. 9.
Arsenal fans have now seen what squad number Gyokeres is reportedly getting at N5, and they’re thrilled with the reports.

Arsenal fans love how Viktor Gyokeres is set to wear Thierry Henry’s old Arsenal number
David Ornstein reported on Friday that Arsenal had reached total agreement with Sporting over a move for Viktor Gyokeres, who is now set to travel to London.
Gyokeres’ medical is reportedly scheduled for Saturday ahead of joining the club on a five-year contract.
In addition, Ornstein has reported that Gyokeres will be handed squad number 14, which Thierry Henry famously wore while at Highbury.
In response, one fan wrote on X: “14 on VG’s back!! The glory days are indeed back!!”
Another said: “August 17th. Thierry Henry’s birthday. United away. Gyokeres first game in the 14 shirt. Script writers worked overtime for this one.”
The comments kept coming, with one fan saying: “I don’t know if this is controversial, but yes, Gyokeres should wear 14.
“Too much fear in this fanbase, our big-money striker should welcome the history of the number, not be scared of the pressure it brings.”
Another said: “Exactly! We want a mentality monster then we need someone who’s not afraid of a number on the back of a shirt. If he is that hungry to be the best then why not take 14.”
Another said: “Gyokeres wearing the iconic Jersey no 14. Destiny. Greatness. It’s written in the stars.”
