Arsenal suffered a major setback during their latest Premier League game against West Ham United, and supporters are blaming one person.
Mikel Arteta’s men defeated the Hammers 2-0. Declan Rice broke the deadlock in the first half, and Bukayo Saka scored a penalty in the 67th minute.
Arsenal’s victory saw them pick up a crucial three points ahead of the upcoming international break, giving them some momentum for when club football returns.
However, one player may now be unlikely to go on international duty, as Martin Odegaard suffered an injury in the first half.

Arsenal fans are blaming Mikel Arteta for Martin Odegaard’s latest injury
The Arsenal captain had to be brought off in the 30th minute after suffering a knee injury, being replaced by Martin Zubimendi.
Odegaard received treatment after initially hurting himself, and the Norway international did try to carry on playing, but he was unable to overcome the pain and had to be replaced.
Odegaard has already missed three games this season due to a shoulder injury, and fans have questioned how Arteta has handled him now that he has been hurt again.
One Arsenal supporter quickly admitted that this was going to be a “big blow” for the team, highlighting Odegaard’s importance to the squad.
Meanwhile, another took aim at Arteta’s handling of his captain by saying he “really needs to be taken to account for this. Proper drill sergeant behavior.
Other fans viewed Odegaard’s injury from his perspective, with one admitting that it’s “impossible not to have sympathy” for him.
Another said it could become a long-term problem for the creative midfielder, saying, “This guy’s career might just end like this. Consistent injury.”
Arsenal’s injury list is already growing this season
Arsenal seemingly cannot shake the injury curse in the early stages of this season, which was also a massive factor during the previous campaign.
Arsenal have already dealt with serious injuries to Saka and William Saliba earlier in this campaign, which Arteta had to overcome.
However, Arsenal are currently without Noni Madueke and Kai Havertz, who are long-term absentees for the Gunners.
Now, it appears that Odegaard will be added to that list, but it remains to be seen how long he will be sidelined.
