Arsenal fans are fuming over summer transfer links to Moreno

Arsenal have been linked with a swoop for Alberto Moreno, who will be a free agent when he leaves Liverpool at the end of the month.

According to the Daily Mirror, the Gunners are keen on a swoop for the £65,000 a week (Spotrac) defender, who lifted the Champions League on Saturday with Liverpool.

Unai Emery worked with the Spanish international at Sevilla, but Moreno became something of a liability during his time at Liverpool, failing to live up to his early promise.

Moreno was a bright young talent when he was playing in Spain but at 26, he has not kicked on and Arsenal supporters are in meltdown about the links.

They do not want to sign Moreno at all and view the reports as further evidence that their club doesn’t have the financial muscle or ambition to return to the peak.
