Nottingham Forest earned a comfortable 3-1 win over Huddersfield Town on Sunday afternoon as the pressure increased on Terriers manager Danny Cowley – but Gunners fans were impressed with Emile Smith-Rowe’s display.
A brace from Forest striker Lewis Grabban and a header from Ryan Yates saw Forest cruise to a three-goal lead – only for Karlan Grant score a consolation in the 97th minute. Smith-Rowe could do little to change the outcome.
Smith-Rowe entered the field of play during the final 30 minutes and created a number of chances for his teammates – only for the Huddersfield attackers to misfire when it mattered. Certainly, it was an equal game in terms of chances.
The 19-year-old has clocked up 12 appearances since joining Huddersfield on loan in January, scoring once and creating three more goals. An Arsenal fan account posted a compilation of his touches on Twitter.

Smith-Rowe will remain at Huddersfield for the remainder of the season with his initial loan previously due to expire on June 30. He will play a role in helping the Terriers avoid relegation, as they sit in the bottom three.
Arsenal supporters reacted to his display on Twitter, and many were impressed with his composed and intelligent performance – despite only being given 30 minutes to shine by manager Cowley.
Forgot about Emile! What a player. Knows when to drive with the ball and when to do a one-touch pass. gr

Think will be a very good player, reminds me of Merson when running with it
