RB Leipzig reached the semi-finals of the Champions League last night after a 2-1 win over Atletico Madrid – with Arsenal target Dayot Upamecano in splendid form.
The Gunners have been linked with the man-mountain previously, although more recently the French defender has penned a new deal to stay with the Bundesliga outfit (Evening Standard).
Upamecano now has a release clause which stands at £37 million and an immediate transfer doesn’t look likely for the big man.

The 21-year-old looks like a star of the future and he already boasts 112 appearances to his name for the German giants.
After last night’s brilliant victory, ex-Arsenal player Cesc Fabregas took to Twitter to respond to Javier Mascherano, calling summing Upamecano up in one word.
Buenisimo translates to great and Fabregas had a point as Upamecano shows strength, character and unbelievable leadership qualities as Atletico were dumped out of the competition.
Fabregas wasn’t alone in his praise and Arsenal supporters were also on Twitter raving about the performance of the quality enforcer.
Arsenal will probably add a defender to their ranks this summer but it’s unlikely to be Upamecano, given his higher release clause.
Here we look at a selection of Tweets from the Gunners faithful with regards to the performance of the player with 15 France under-21 caps.
