Huddersfield Town have this afternoon completed the loan signing of Arsenal playmaker Emile Smith Rowe.
The move was confirmed on the club’s official website and the 19-year-old will spend the rest of the season in West Yorkshire.
Smith Rowe has played in six matches in all competitions for the Gunners this season. He is widely regarded as a big prospect but a loan is clearly the next stage in his development.

Huddersfield have struggled in the second tier this season following last season’s relegation. The Terriers are 20th in the division, five points clear of the drop zone.
Smith Rowe is the second player to depart on loan today. Earlier on Friday, Tyrece John-Jules joined League One outfit Lincoln City on a similar temporary deal.
The striker is a little bit further behind Smith Rowe when it comes to breaking into the first-team, however, and his loan is more intriguing.
Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter this afternoon to react to the youngster heading out on loan.

Some are adamant that he will smash the Championship and head back to Arsenal a better player.
Others are intrigued as to why Mikel Arteta isn’t trusting him in the first-team right now.
Here is a selection of tweets following news of Smith Rowe’s move to Huddersfield:
