This would mean Tomiyasu is now available to start for Arsenal in Saturday’s Premier League must-win game against Norwich.

Normally, a meeting between Arsenal and a newly-promoted team at the Emirates shouldn’t be a cause for concern.

But given the Gunners’ dreadful start to the season, the stakes are incredibly high for Arteta.

Arsenal have several key players back, with Ben White, Gabriel Magalhaes and Thomas Partey all available for selection.

And the Gunners seem to have suggested on social media that they’ll be handing Tomiyasu his debut right away.

On Friday, Arsenal posted images of Tomiyasu in red and white, with the captions “ready in red” and “time for Tomi”.

With Cedric Soares and Calum Chambers having come in for occasional criticism at right-back, this apparent selection hint will surely have Arsenal fans excited.
