‘Like Iniesta’, ‘Massive downgrade’: Arsenal fans react to Denis Suarez cameo in Manchester United win

The on-loan performer has not really set the world alight since checking-in from Barcelona during the January transfer window.

Arsenal bounced back from their disappointing Europa League defeat to Rennes by beating Manchester United 2-0 at the Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners were dogged and well-drilled during the win which came courtesy of Granit Xhaka and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang goals.

The win kept Arsenal ahead of United in the quest for a Champions League spot.

Boss Unai Emery badly needed a big win following the midweek capitulation in France.

The Gunners have it all to do in the second leg of the tie but this victory will offer hope that things can be turned around.

Arsenal were impressive yesterday against United, playing on the front foot and stifling the attacking threat.

Emery’s team selection paid dividends but once again Denis Suarez began the game on the bench.

The winger was backed for big things following his January arrival from Barcelona but is yet to start a league game for the Gunners.
