Arsenal legend David Seaman says that he is ‘fuming’ over the Gunners’ decision to let Aaron Ramsey leave for Juventus on a free transfer, he told talkSport.
The Wales international has penned a pre-contract agreement with the Italian champions and he will make the switch at the end of the campaign.
Seaman who made 405 appearances for the Gunners between 1990 and 2003, isn’t impressed.
He told the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast of his disgust, with his comments making waves on Twitter:
Ramsey signed for the Gunners as a teenager and at present he has played 256 games, scoring 38 goals.
The central midfielder has notoriously picked up niggling injuries during his career, whilst a couple of serious ones have also hampered his progress.
Nonetheless, Seaman is still not happy about his pending departure.
He told talkSport: “I’m still fuming at the fact that we’re going to lose him (Aaron Ramsey).”
Arsenal are in a transitional period under boss Unai Emery.
The ex-Gunners custodian doesn’t believe the club will be able to replace Ramsey, either.
Funs are thought to be low in North London and it looks like a summer scraping the bargain bucket for Emery.
Seaman continued: “What’s more frustrating is they’ve announced that Emery is going to get £40million to spend in the summer, that’s how what you’d have to pay to get someone like Ramsey anyway. It’s demoralizing for me and even more demoralizing for the fans to hear that and then to see quality players leaving again.”
“I don’t get what the forward thinking is. Emery gets one transfer window and is told he can only get loans, then in the second window told he only has £40m to spend. It’s so frustrating.”
Can Arsenal secure top four finish
Chelsea’s thrashing by Manchester City on Sunday saw the Gunners go fifth without kicking a ball.

If Emery’s men can pick up their form and go on a run then there is no reason why they can’t gatecrash the Champions League qualification places.
Finishing in the top four for the first time in three years could see the board hand Emery a more lucrative budget to spend ahead of 2019/20.
Seaman speaks sense though.
It does seem somewhat odd that Arsenal have let Ramsey’s contract run down.
For years, the Welshman has been a standout performer for the Gunners and he will be hard to replace.
