It’s common knowledge that Arsenal need to sign a new striker at some point and they could end up moving for one of the top forwards in Europe.
The Gunners just missed out on the title and one of the common conversations is that a lack of a proper number nine ended up costing them.
Mikel Arteta is moving quickly to find a new striker and young forward, Benjamin Sesko, has emerged as a top target for the Gunners.
However, more players are being thrown into the mix as well.
And according to Sky Sports reports Gianluca Di Marzio, Arsenal could yet make a move for a ‘world-class’ forward instead of Sesko.

Arsenal could make move for Victor Osimhen
Speaking on Sky Sports today, Di Marzio has suggested Arsenal could end up going for Victor Osimhen if it’s not to be Sesko.
“Yes I think he [Sesko] is one of the top targets of Arsenal. Not only Arsenal, but of AC Milan over in Italy. I think Arsenal will go for a striker,” Di Marzio said.
“Even Victor Osimhen could be a target, because Arsenal needs a striker like that, a real number nine. So we will see if Sesko or Osimhen, but I think Arsenal will be in for one of these two important strikers in the summer.”
Osimhen is dreamland for Arsenal fans
When it comes to strikers in world football, few have been more in-demand than Victor Osimhen in recent seasons.
Napoli have resisted the temptation to sell for a number of windows now but it looks like Osimhen might finally end up moving on in 2024.
Of course, it’s going to take a whopping fee close to £110m for Napoli to part ways with the Nigerian.
However, we saw Arsenal pay north of £100m for Declan Rice last year and that has turned out brilliantly.
Osimhen, then, might just be worth the expense if push comes to shove.
