Arsenal could loan out ‘prolific’ 20-year-old youngster, multiple clubs all want him

Arsenal could reportedly loan out academy striker Khayon Edwards before the end of the January transfer window.

The 20-year-old forward has thrived at youth level this season with Arsenal’s U-21s, with Edwards bagging an impressive nine goals in all competitions for the Gunners.

With the youngster yet to make his senior debut for Arsenal, loaning out Edwards would be a wise decision from the north London club this January given how vital professional experience would be.

And according to journalist Jeorge Bird, Arsenal could now loan out Edwards, with the forward attracting ‘much interest’ from English and European clubs.

Lauded by the same reporter as ‘prolific’, a loan move could be extremely beneficial for all parties, with Edwards clearly in need of his first taste of senior football.

And with Arsenal unlikely to field Edwards for the remainder of the season, the Gunners must now be looking to loan out the 20-year-old striker, who could impress away from north London.

Edwards’ form this season at youth level more than warrants a loan move, and Arsenal now need to put in the world to make a deal possible.

The Gunners have been extremely quiet this January in getting any of their highly-rated youngsters out on loan, with no player yet to leave Arsenal all window.

As a result, Arsenal could have shot themselves in the foot, yet loaning out Edwards could remedy just that, with the striker a perfect player to send out on loan this January.
