Arsenal haven’t been all that busy in the summer transfer window so far, but a flurry of signings could be on the way.
Indeed, while Kepa Arrizabalaga has been Arsenal’s only signing of the summer so far, the Gunners have a few more transfers seemingly waiting to go.
Martin Zubimendi is set to sign for Arsenal, while Cristhian Mosquera is also expected to join the Gunners.
However, according to Ben Jacobs, speaking on the Highbury Squad YouTube channel, the next player through the door at the Emirates could well be Christian Norgaard.
Norgaard has already started his Arsenal medical, and according to Jacobs, he could be officially announced as an Arsenal player before Zubimendi.

Christian Norgaard could be the next Arsenal signing
Jacobs was asked whether Norgaard will be the next signing announced by Arsenal after Kepa Arrizabalaga.
The journalist says that this could well be the case, reiterating Norgaard’s current situation, noting that a deal could be formally announced in the middle of next week.
Norgaard could be a ‘great’ signing for Arsenal, via Edu Rubio speaking to the BBC.
“Norgaard next? Ben, real quick do you think he’s the next announcement?” Jacobs was asked.
“Yeah, my understanding with Norgaard is the first part of the medical has already been done. He’s gone back to Denmark and he will be back early next week,” Norgaard said.
“The formalities are underway there and it’s just a case of completing them in full, because the medical in full has not been done yet to my knowledge. At some point next week he will return to formalise that deal and it will be announced.
“The full agreement is in place club-to-club, the player terms are verbally agreed, but the formalisation, the medical, paperwork is not done yet and it wouldn’t surprise me if that runs into the middle of next week.”
Dates of Arsenal signings last two years
Arsenal appear to be moving quite slowly in this summer transfer window compared to their rivals.
Indeed, Liverpool have already secured three signings, while Manchester City have brought in numerous new players as well.
However, Arsenal aren’t moving any more slowly than usual this summer. After all, it’s often taken until the middle of July for the north London club to make their second signing of the summer.
| Date signed | Arsenal signings summer 2024 |
| 4 July | David Raya |
| 29 July | Riccardo Calafiori |
| 27 August | Mikel Merino |
| 30 August | Neto |
| 31 August | Raheem Sterling |
| Date signed | Arsenal signings summer 2023 |
| 28 June | Kai Havertz |
| 14 July | Jurrien Timber |
| 15 July | Declan Rice |
| 15 August | David Raya |
If Norgaard and Zubimendi both arrive in the next week or so, Arsenal will have actually acted quite quickly in comparison to the last two years.
Of course, there is an element of frustration around the fact Arsenal are yet to sign a new striker,
