Arsenal’s deadline day signing of Raheem Sterling finally saw the Gunners add an attacking player to their squad.

All summer long there had been the demand from the Arsenal fans for their attacking options to be bolstered.

Arsenal were linked with a move for striker Victor Osimhen in the final days of the window with their options extremely bare up top.

However, there was also a need for Mikel Arteta to bring in some backup for Bukayo Saka who did not have the same quality behind him as Gabriel Martinelli does with Leandro Trossard.

With the international break now up and running, Sterling has the opportunity to really settle in to life at his new club ahead of the North London Derby.

Arsenal coaches wowed by something Raheem Sterling done in Arsenal training

Although Sterling has only moved from one side of London to another, there is still going to be a settling in period to his new surroundings.

However, Sterling has already began to train with his new side as the remainder of the players are away on international duty.

And it seems as if the former England international is already impressing the coaches at London Colney.

Chris Sutton has admitted he feels like Sterling has a real point to prove at Arsenal following a difficult spell with Chelsea.

From the early signs, it would seem as if the 29-year-old is looking to show his worth to Arteta and the Arsenal coaching staff in training.

The footage released by Arsenal on Wednesday morning shows Sterling chasing after the ball continuously with an impressive work rate.

And countless times, one of the Arsenal coaches can be heard praising Sterling as he shouted, ‘Yes Raz!’

Raheem Sterling will have an important role to play at Arsenal

For Arsenal to win the league, they are going to need a lot of strength in depth and they certainly did not have that at right wing.

With Saka, they had arguably the best right-winger in the league but the options behind him were not that of a side looking to win the league.

In Sterling, Arsenal have added a player who has plenty of experience in winning the league and is now showing his hunger to get back to his best.

The early signs in training are positive but it will be interesting to see how Sterling gets on when it’s his time to shine on the pitch.
