Arsenal coach Mehmet Ali has praised Amario Cozier-Duberry following his brace for the Gunners Under-21s on Friday night.
The Arsenal attacker helped the young Gunners come from 2-0 down to lead 3-2 against Manchester City’s U21s in the Premier League 2.
Cozier-Duberry displayed some good movement behind the City defence and, even though he saw a penalty saved, he tapped in on the rebound.
Then, he got his second with a neat finish with his weaker right foot, sending the ball into the bottom corner of the net.
Although Arsenal’s U21s ended up drawing 3-3 at Meadow Park, Ali was eager to look at the positives, which included Cozier-Duberry’s heroics.

“Very pleased with him,” the Arsenal Under-21 boss told the club website.
“Amario had a lot of joy and success last season, but the expectations change as you get older.
“He was the young one playing up whereas now there’s a lot of weight on his shoulders.
“He found that difficult in the early part of the season but I feel like he’s really grown and improved as the season’s gone on and we’re beginning to see the form that he’s capable of.”
Cozier-Duberry now has five goals and two assists from seven Premier League 2 outings, and 11 appearances overall in 2023-24.
Cozier-Duberry an exciting prospect for Arsenal
The 18-year-old attacking talent joined Arsenal four years ago from Chettle Court Rangers.
He has gone from strength to strength and is one of the most exciting prospects in England right now.
Cozier-Duberry registered 12 goals and eight assists for Arsenal’s youth teams last season, mainly playing as a right winger.
He impressed many who watched him and often took part in Arsenal first-team training sessions as Mikel Arteta kept tabs on him.
And this season, he’s really kicking on. As per football.london, Cozier-Duberry now “can’t be far away from making his first-team debut.”
