Arsenal Transfer News: Talks underway for Gunners to sign Jakub Kiwior
Arsenal are close to making another signing this month with reports from Poland claiming a deal to sign Jakub Kiwior is close to being done.
A report from Meczkyi claims that the Gunners are closing in on the signing of Kiwior from Spezia as Mikel Arteta looks to continue adding to his squad.
The addition of Kiwior comes as the Gunners prepare to announce the signing of Leandro Trossard from Brighton.
Arsenal currently sit top of the table and are intent on adding to the squad before the window shuts.
Kiwior, 22, is a defender and has been a regular for Spezia over in Italy. The defender is highly-rated and has been identified by Arsenal as yet another player they can develop and improve.
Arsenal have been looking for defensive reinforcements. Behind Gabriel and William Saliba, Arsenal are quite short and will see Kiwior as another they can work with for now and the future.
Di Marzio adds the deal will cost around £22m.
TBR’s View: Another good Arsenal signing
Kiwior played for Poland in the World Cup and there is no doubting this is a smart signing from an Arsenal point of view.
Di Marzio has claimed it will cost around £22m and that is not massive money in the current market.
Arsenal are not messing about at all this window. Trossard is a good signing and so is Kiwior. This might just get them over the line in the title race.
Gunners fans can be happy here. The club are moving and backing Mikel Arteta, just like they asked for.
